Another Ghost of Yotei update is officially available for download. Debuting recently in early October 2026, Ghost of Yotei Update 2.07 brings a handful of crucial bug fixes to the game. Most importantly, the patch deals directly with widely reported progression problems.
This new release arrives just over a week after the October 1 launch of the ‘Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition’. Previously, this content-complete version introduced two massive additions. First, it added ‘Most Wanted’, a thrilling new roguelite survival mode. Second, it delivered ‘Echoes of Sekigahara’, an expansive new story expansion.
Patch 2.07 for Ghost of Yōtei is now live. This patch further corrects bugs causing lost or blocked progress in Most Wanted, as well as fixing a bug where players could get stuck on a black screen after certain missions in Echoes of Sekigahara. Issues resulting in certain content not being marked as complete have also been resolved, as well as various other bug and crash fixes.

What Does Patch 2.07 Fix?
Developer Sucker Punch Productions started rolling out update 2.07 two days ago, on October 9. Subsequently, the studio confirmed the patch details in a recent social media update.
Specifically, this update “further corrects” bugs that previously caused blocked or lost progress in the Most Wanted mode. Furthermore, it fixes a frustrating issue where players found themselves stuck on a black screen after completing certain Echoes of Sekigahara missions. Additionally, the patch resolves annoying glitches that prevented certain content from being marked as complete. Finally, Sucker Punch has addressed various other unspecified crashes and bugs.
Clearly, Most Wanted progression remains a major priority for Sucker Punch. Previously, patch 2.06 addressed multiple bugs within this mode. Therefore, update 2.07 serves as a logical continuation of those efforts. However, Sucker Punch specifically describes these fixes as “further corrections.” As a result, this update does not guarantee a comprehensive fix for every possible progression problem in the new DLC.
Why Progress Tracking Matters
Reliable progression tracking is incredibly important because of the overall structure of Most Wanted. In this mode, players repeatedly tackle increasingly difficult bounties using one of four playable characters. During individual runs, players earn helpful perks. Between attempts, they spend “Mon” currency on weapon upgrades, techniques, additional characters, and charms. Moreover, some cosmetic rewards earned here actually carry over to the main game. Consequently, any progression bug could easily ruin much more than a single roguelike run, especially since these runs cannot be manually saved.
Similarly, these early October 2026 fixes will heavily benefit completionists. The Complete Edition recently introduced 11 trophies for Most Wanted and 12 for Echoes of Sekigahara. For instance, Most Wanted requires players to clear all six standard bounties before unlocking the Max Threat challenges. Meanwhile, Echoes demands securing every Viper Storehouse and finishing the Ashoro Foothills bounty chain. Ultimately, while Sucker Punch didn’t explicitly mention trophy fixes, this improved completion tracking will certainly reduce frustration for anyone chasing that 100% completion rate.
