Messaging app Instagram has updated its platform and has added comment thread option to its app. The new update makes it easy to follow the conversation on Instagram as now if you start a conversation it will create a thread just like Instagram’s parent company Facebook offers to its users.
Previously if you want to reply someone you were needed to provide username so that the message you are sending would be delivered to the right person but now with the new update the need to give username is no longer required as the app now displays them in threads.
The company has shipped this update to a few users. However, Instagram has announced that it will release the new update for Android and iOS platforms in the coming weeks.
Instagram’s blog post reads,
“We’re making conversations about Instagram posts even easier by adding comment threads. Comment threads help you keep track of conversations and make it easy to respond to a specific thread. This update will make your feed an even better place to share interests, get inspired and connect with others. Now, when you hit reply underneath any comment, your response will automatically be grouped right underneath it in a thread”.
