LinkedIn has announced several new creator monetization features. Most notably, the platform now lets creators earn revenue through pre-roll video ads on their content. In addition, creators can offer paid one-on-one consultations through a feature called Advice Sessions.
The pre-roll ad program lets marketers place ads alongside topically relevant creator and publisher videos. As a result, creators who opt in earn a share of the ad revenue from promotions shown with their content. However, LinkedIn says this feature remains in early testing and builds on its existing BrandLink and Thought Leader Ads programs. Therefore, creators must sign up to make their content eligible for brand promotions.

Meanwhile, Advice Sessions let Premium subscribers offer free or paid one-on-one consultations directly from their profiles. Consequently, verified experts can charge for paid sessions through LinkedIn’s secure payments system. Currently, the feature works for U.S. hosts only, but LinkedIn plans to expand access soon. Furthermore, the platform requires profile verification to give members confidence in the experts they consult.
Beyond monetization, LinkedIn also brought back pinned comments for post authors. The platform first tested this feature in 2022 but then shelved it shortly after. Now, authors can once again pin a comment to highlight it and guide discussion under their posts.
Additionally, LinkedIn updated its Creator Marketplace with new search filters. Brands can now find creators by audience focus, expertise, and preferred content formats. On top of that, LinkedIn plans to build an experts showcase page to help users find relevant consultants across categories. Also, the platform rolled out an updated profile insights dashboard and private notes for connection details.
