The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested a man in Abbottabad for allegedly posting abusive content about his own father on Facebook, an agency spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said the suspect shared a photograph of his father on the social media platform and captioned it with the word “Dogs,” accompanied by insulting emojis.
The post prompted the agency to act against him.
During the operation, investigators recovered the Facebook account used to publish the post from the mobile phone. A case has been registered against him, and the agency has initiated legal proceedings.
NCCIA officials said the agency is enforcing a zero-tolerance policy against online harassment and the misuse of social media.
