Pokémon GO officially confirmed its next season. The development team calls it “Forever Forward”. The highly anticipated Pokémon GO ‘Forever Forward’ season kicks off on June 2, 2026, and will run until September 8, 2026.
Currently, players are enjoying the “Memories in Motion” season. However, this nostalgic season wraps up precisely at 10:00 AM local time on June 2. Therefore, fans only have a few days left to say goodbye to a season that brought Blipbug, Flittle, Silicobra, Orthworm, and Mimikyu into the game and kicked off the franchise’s 30th-anniversary celebrations.
A Glimpse Into Pokémon GO ‘Forever Forward’ Season
Recently, the development team released a 15-second teaser trailer for Forever Forward. Consequently, we know the new season shifts focus straight to the game’s future. The short video features a visor-wearing Pikachu. Fans first saw this costumed Pokémon during the May 2026 Spring Marathon. Furthermore, confetti and the official 10th-anniversary logo fill the screen.

Pokémon GO officially turns ten years old on July 6. As a result, players eagerly expect milestone festivities, unique rewards, limited bonuses, and costumed Pokémon. Meanwhile, developers will likely release a longer, more detailed trailer in the coming days to tease specific Pokémon debuts.
GO Fest 2026 & Mega Mewtwo
The upcoming season perfectly coincides with GO Fest Global 2026. Mark your calendars for July 11 and 12. During this massive event, players will finally see the debuts of Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Mewtwo Y, and Zeraora. Additionally, the event promises several exciting Raids and bonuses.
Already, the in-person GO Fest activities began in Tokyo, Japan. There, lucky players gained early access to Mega Mewtwo. Next, the GO Fest physical experience travels to Chicago and Copenhagen in June.
Community Days & Team Leader Quests
Looking ahead, developers scheduled three Community Days for the Forever Forward season. First up is June 20. Interestingly, an Ice-type Pokémon will star in this event. Unlike the previous season, however, Forever Forward will absolutely not feature a Community Day Classic event.
Right now, global players do not have to wait for July to find excitement. Starting today, May 26, and running until June 15, limited Team Leader quests are officially active. Fans can complete special missions from Candela, Blanche, and Spark. Specifically, these tasks focus on catching Pokémon, hatching Eggs, and winning battles. Finally, players can also grab Limited GO Passes. These special passes reward trainers with exclusive costumed versions of Lapras, Elekid, and Ponyta.
