Applications for the second phase of the Punjab Chief Minister Climate Leadership Internship Program have opened, offering selected young people a stipend of Rs 60,000 per month for three months.
The Environment Protection and Climate Change Department of Punjab has announced that online applications for the program have officially begun.
The initiative aims to prepare young people to be climate warriors who can take on practical roles in environmental governance, climate change response strategies, and policymaking.
Fifty percent of the seats in the program have been reserved for female students to promote greater participation of women in the environmental sector, the department said.
During the internship, participants will receive field learning opportunities, study visits to Environmental Protection Agency offices, capstone projects, and hands-on training under the supervision of experts.
To be eligible, candidates must be between 20 and 27 years of age and hold at least a bachelor’s degree with 75 percent marks or a CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
The program is open to graduates from a range of academic backgrounds. Interested candidates can submit online applications through the official EPA Punjab portal until July 18, 2026.
