The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has completed the rehabilitation of the Faizabad Interchange slip road, along with the installation of new traffic signboards, in a move aimed at improving traffic flow and enhancing road safety for commuters.
The completed project was inaugurated by Chairman of the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team Punjab and Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Raja Hanif Advocate, who commended the RDA for delivering the project within the approved timeline while maintaining quality standards.
The rehabilitation project was launched on March 6, 2026, with an approved budget of Rs. 15.49 million. Following the completion of construction work, the RDA has formally handed over the upgraded infrastructure.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Raja Hanif said the rehabilitated slip road and newly installed traffic signboards would improve traffic management and provide safer, more convenient travel for motorists using the busy interchange.
He added that the Punjab government remains committed to investing in infrastructure projects that enhance urban mobility, improve road networks, and strengthen public services across Rawalpindi.
The Faizabad Interchange is one of the key transport corridors connecting Rawalpindi and Islamabad, and the upgrade is expected to ease congestion and improve the overall commuting experience for thousands of daily road users.
