Samsung is expected to expand its flagship lineup with the Galaxy S27 series in January. The lineup may include the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Ultra, and the new Galaxy S27 Pro. The Galaxy S27 Pro is rumored to sit between the standard model and the Ultra. Reports suggest it will act like a smaller version of the Ultra. However, it will not support the S Pen.
The device is said to feature a 6.47-inch display. This makes it more compact than the Ultra model. At the same time, it is expected to carry similar camera hardware in key areas. Leaks suggest the Galaxy S27 Pro will use the same main camera and ultrawide sensor as the Ultra. However, it may feature a different telephoto setup. This change could create a slight gap in zoom performance.
Battery expectations for the Pro model are also drawing attention. Many assumed a smaller body would bring a smaller battery. That assumption is now being challenged by new information. According to a recent leak shared by a source on X, the Galaxy S27 Pro may include a 5,000 mAh battery. This places it at the same level as Samsung’s larger Ultra models in terms of capacity.
Interestingly, removing the S Pen may have made more internal space available. This could explain how the Pro model maintains a large battery despite its smaller size. For comparison, the Galaxy S26 Ultra also carries a 5,000 mAh battery. Its successor is also expected to match that capacity.
If these reports are accurate, the Galaxy S27 Pro could offer strong battery life in a more compact form. That combination may appeal to users who want top-end features without the Ultra’s larger size.
