Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip8 will likely bring only minor changes this year. New certifications from SGS have now confirmed that the foldable phone will still support 25W wired charging, matching its predecessor.
Back in April, reports already hinted that Samsung would stick with the same charging speed. Now, the latest certifications support those claims. The documents reveal the phone can reach a maximum charging output of 9V 2.77A, which equals 25W charging.
The same earlier report also claimed that the Galaxy Z Flip8 would pack a 4,300 mAh battery. Interestingly, this is the same battery capacity found in the current Galaxy Z Flip model.
As a result, users hoping for major battery or charging improvements may feel disappointed. Samsung also appears to be keeping the camera hardware unchanged this year.
However, the Galaxy Z Flip8 may still offer a few noticeable refinements. Reports suggest Samsung could launch a slightly thinner and lighter design. In addition, the company may use two different chipsets depending on the market.
While the changes may look limited on paper, Samsung seems focused on refining the overall foldable experience instead of introducing major hardware upgrades.
