The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has launched a mobile application which will address the complaints and requests filed by the investors.

With this mobile application, users will be able to lodge any complaint or query they are facing and also can track the status of previously filed complaints using their smartphones. SECP Chairman Shaukat Hussain inaugurated the new Service Desk Management System (SDMS) mobile application. The app has been developed as an extension of SECP’s Service Desk Management System (SDMS). The app was created to facilitate the investor and get the regular updates on solving complaints.

Since the launch of an app, it has successfully handled more than 8,000 complaints and 22,000 queries to facilitate investors. The application is available to all Android users and can be downloaded on Google Play Store. There’s also a separate web-based notification panel which pushes notifications to mobile users.

After complaint filing, the application connects with the concerned issue handling officer. The application also provides the ability to attach relevant files and supporting documents to provide evidence for complaints without having to log into one’s laptop or desktop. The app also enables users to send text, audio and/or video messages to file a complaint.
