Spotify is expanding its AI-powered DJ feature to more users around the world. The music streaming platform also added support for four new languages to make the feature more accessible.
In a recent blog post, Spotify said its AI DJ can now speak French, German, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese. The feature creates a personalized music experience by learning from a user’s listening habits and favorite tracks.
At the same time, Spotify has rolled out the feature to Premium users in Austria, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, South Korea, and Switzerland. As a result, Spotify’s AI DJ is now available in more than 75 regions globally.
Premium subscribers can quickly access the AI DJ from the Spotify home screen with a single tap. Users can also find the feature by searching for “DJ” inside the app.
Spotify first introduced the AI DJ to offer a more interactive way to discover music. The feature combines voice commentary with personalized song recommendations based on listening history.
Meanwhile, Spotify is also taking steps to improve transparency on its platform. The company recently started verifying non-AI artists so users can better identify profiles that may contain AI-generated music.
