Xiaomi is ready to take the spotlight again, this time with a device that pushes limits in both power and design. The company has now locked in April 21 as the official launch date for the much-anticipated Xiaomi Redmi K90 Max. Alongside the date, it has also shared key specifications, giving a clearer picture of what to expect.
At the core of the Redmi K90 Max sits MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 SoC. Earlier, a Geekbench listing had already pointed to this chipset. Now, the brand has made it official, confirming the phone’s performance focus.
The display also stands out. It features a 165Hz refresh rate, which ensures very smooth scrolling and gaming. In addition, the panel supports DC dimming, which helps reduce eye strain during long usage.
Battery life appears to be another strong point. The device packs a large 8,550 mAh silicon-carbon battery. Notably, it includes an ultra-high 16% silicon content. As a result, users can expect better efficiency and longer usage time. The phone supports 100W wired charging, so it can power up quickly. It also offers 22.5W reverse wired charging, allowing it to charge other devices.
Xiaomi has also focused on thermal performance. The K90 Max includes the largest cooling fan ever used in a smartphone. Because of its size, it can lower the internal temperature by 10 degrees Celsius in just 100 seconds. This should help maintain stable performance during heavy tasks.
Even with a built-in fan, durability remains strong. The device carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. This means it can handle tough conditions without issues.
According to leaks, the Redmi K90 Max will feature a 6.83-inch display with 1.5K resolution. Combined with the high refresh rate, this should deliver a sharp and fluid viewing experience.
