Xiaomi revealed multiple products under its crowd-funding platform including a heated goose down jacket which is powered by a mighty power bank of 10,000 mAh. They also announced a waterproof Bluetooth speaker which is ideal for rain or for a pool party.
Xiaomi Mi Crowd-fund program was started last year, aiming to offer users a large number of products that they can pay for. The important thing to be noted is that the product needs to reach a fixed sales target within a certain period of time. If they achieve sales target, all customers get the product. However, if the target is not met, the product is canceled and the investors get their money back.
Till now Xiaomi has announced 407 crowd-funded products, and goose down jacket is the latest one. This is Xiaomi’s upgraded jacket 3.0, with the price tag of ¥499 (Rs 11,000). It is also expected that the rates will go up once they start dispatching the initial orders.
The jacket is designed to smartly control the temperature, by using 90% high-quality white goose down, coated to resist cold winds. The jacket is automatically stuffed evenly to keep every part warm, which is why they claim it to be warmer than duck down.
There is a smart temperature control feature in the jacket with smart three-speed temperature control design. The temperature control can be adjusted to suit the temperature as desired by the person wearing it. The Power Bank with 10,000 mAh can provide continuous heating to the jacket for up to 7 hours with just one charge.
For user-safety, the jacket is powered by an advanced technology that can automatically turn down the heat if the temperature goes up outside.
The other product that Xiaomi launched is a Waterproof Bluetooth speaker. It comes in an easy to move pill-shape design. MI speaker has the battery of 2600 mAh; so it can play for 8 hours continuously. It has the latest Bluetooth 5.0 also with USB Type-C port, so you can easily charge it with your mobile phone charger.
It is accompanied by 52mm drivers and has two HD microphone pickups for noise cancellation. It also has one-button hands-free calling feature and is IP55 water and dust resistant. The speaker is available for sale in $28 (Rs 4,300).
