Zong officially launched its 3G services in Pakistan, yesterday. The launch ceremony took place at Zong HQ, Islamabad. Zong’s management and some of the officials from PTA attended the event. Currently, Zong is offering its 3G services in Lahore and Karachi only and is planning to roll them out for Islamabad residents soon.

Default 3G charges for Zong’s 3G services will be applied when no specific package from the above mentioned ones has been selected, the default 3G data rate is are Rs. 10 per MB.
Add-ons
What happens when you’re running out of the total data but your package duration hasn’t run out yet? Zong lets its 3G customers extend their package with little add-ons. Add-ons are basically a value addition in the package that will allow customers to use more data with-in time duration of package selected against a price. Here are add-ons that Zong is offering with its 3G services:
To further explain the add-ons, lets say you’re on the weekly package with 150MB limit and you are nearing your data limit before the expiry time of the package, you can select any of the add-on to continue using the 3G services.
Free Social Package
Zong is offering a free Social Package for limited time. With this package, customers can use unlimited Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter for free. The Social Pack is valid for 3 days from the subscription time.
