PTA Announces System Maintenance, DIRBS Unavailable for Over 48 Hours

Islamabad: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced scheduled maintenance of its Device Identification, Registration, and Blocking System (DIRBS), temporarily suspending mobile registration services for nearly three days.

According to official statement, the maintenance will begin at 7:00 p.m. on March 7, 2025 and terminate at 11:45 p.m. March 9, 2025. Users will be unable to register their mobile devices through DIRBS during this time.

As stated by PTA, the system maintenance aims to improve operational and user experience performance for future mobile registration service execution. The authority reassured the public that all services will resume as usual once the maintenance is completed.

Users planning to register their devices are advised to complete the process before the maintenance period to avoid any inconvenience.
