Pixel Watch 4 Will Finally Have A Wireless Charging Stand
If we say fans of Google’s wearables got a big surprise this week, it will be a bit of exaggeration. Leaked renders and hands-on commentary reveal that the upcoming Pixel Watch 4 may charge wirelessly. The whole shenanigan will happen via a charging stand rather than traditional rear-mounted pins. Truth be told, fans already had a hunch.
The render leaks are not official but are consistent across multiple sources and time-coded with industry event snippets, pointing to credible accuracy. The images show a shaped cradle with two charging contacts on one side, suggesting a departure from previous Pixel Watch designs.
Google hasn’t confirmed anything yet, and will likely reveal full details at its Made by Google Event on August 20, 2025, where the Pixel Watch 4 will debut.
One thing is noteworthy: the leaked charger is unusually shaped. It has a small pill-shaped dock that attaches to side-mounted contacts rather than the back of the watch body. Despite early hope that this would mean full wireless charging, it appears to remain a proprietary contact-based solution. Reports say the new design may charge 25% faster than the previous generation while producing less heat.
Pixel Watch 4 will also come with other features such as thinner bezels, health tracking refinements, and Wear OS 6. There are also rumors of Gemini AI replacing the old Google Assistant integration.
