Offstrike: Pakistan’s First Global Counter-Strike 2 Event Set for Debut

Pakistan’s esports scene is on the verge of a long overdue breakthrough. Organisers at Spotcomm Global and Vider Media have confirmed the country will host its first international Counter Strike 2 (CS2) event, Offstrike, bringing global competitive gaming to Pakistani soil for the very first time.

The announcement made through a high energy press conference and coordinated teaser drop instantly set the local gaming community abuzz signalling a moment many believed would take years longer to arrive.

For the first time in Pakistan, organisers have scheduled a CS2 event for March 2026 at Dreamworld Resorts Karachi, where elite teams from Europe and Asia will compete alongside top Pakistani squads in a high stakes showdown. With a confirmed prize pool of 10,000 dollars, the tournament gives local players something they have never truly had before: a legitimate opportunity to test themselves against experienced international professionals under tournament conditions that actually matter.

Spotcomm Global and Vider Media, also known as ViderGG, are bringing Offstrike to life through a joint venture. Both organisations have quietly but consistently advanced Pakistan’s digital entertainment and esports ecosystem. Organisers say their ambition extends beyond a single tournament. They position Offstrike as a clear statement that Pakistan can host internationally relevant esports events with professional production standards and serious competitive intent while opening doors to foreign investment sponsorships and long term partnerships.

Pakistan has already laid the groundwork this year through multiple large scale domestic initiatives. The Sindh Esports Championship 2025 held in November emerged as the country’s largest government backed esports tournament drawing more than 400 teams and over 2,500 players across CS2 and Valorant. With a prize pool of PKR 1.5 million and full LAN support including travel and accommodation the championship proved that both the audience and the infrastructure are rapidly maturing.

Earlier in the year, CTRL Point Pakistan’s first CS2 premiere studio LAN event raised the bar for local production quality and broadcast standards. Professional casting polished presentation and strong viewership numbers made one thing clear the ecosystem is no longer amateur it is simply underexposed.
