The Islamabad Traffic Police has added the BYD Atto 2, an electric vehicle, to its patrol fleet, marking a step toward greener and more sustainable policing. The addition highlights the city’s push for modern, eco-friendly transportation solutions within public services.
The BYD Atto 2 impresses with a range of up to 410 kilometers on a single charge, ensuring it can cover long patrols without frequent recharging. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds, combining efficiency with performance.
Powering the vehicle is a 51.3 kWh blade battery, known for its durability and safety. Speaking of safety, the Atto 2 comes equipped with seven airbags, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keep assistance, making it a secure option for urban patrol duties.
With this move, Islamabad Traffic Police not only modernizes its fleet but also demonstrates a commitment to sustainability and innovative transportation technology. The BYD Atto 2 is expected to enhance operational efficiency while reducing the environmental footprint of police vehicles.
