The divisional coordination committee has directed deputy commissioners of Rawalpindi, Attock, Murree, Chakwal, and Jhelum to complete all ongoing development projects before the end of the current fiscal year on June 30.
The committee also instructed district administrations to finalize beautification plans and initiate work immediately. Authorities have been asked to submit proposals to improve the transport system so that new initiatives can be launched within the same fiscal year.
The meeting was chaired by Abdul Aamer Khattak, who joined deputy commissioners via video link. He emphasized the importance of timely completion of development schemes across the division.
Khattak noted that work is already underway on key civic issues, including sanitation, street lighting, road repairs, and sewerage systems. He added that efforts to develop a modern transport system in the Rawalpindi division are progressing, stressing the need for practical measures that provide relief to the public.
In addition, he directed deputy commissioners and heads of health and education departments to conduct regular visits to hospitals and schools. Authorities have also been instructed to ensure daily monitoring of examination centers to maintain transparency during SSC examinations.
