Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali has signed with Yorkshire County Cricket Club as overseas player, strengthening their squad for the upcoming Vitality Blast tournament.
The right-arm pacer replaces Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq, who was ruled out after suffering a stress fracture in his right shoulder, preventing participation in the competition.
The star Afghanistan pacer had already missed the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2026 earlier this year and remains unavailable to fulfill his contract at Headingley.
Hasan Ali brings significant T20 experience, having represented Pakistan in 57 internationals and built a strong reputation across multiple franchise leagues worldwide.
His previous county stint with Warwickshire included 44 wickets at an average of 14.93 across three Vitality Blast campaigns between 2023 and 2025.
Currently, the 31-year-old pacer is performing strongly in the Pakistan Super League 11, claiming nine wickets in four matches for Karachi Kings at an average above 13.
He is expected to be available throughout the Blast group stage and will also feature in County Championship fixtures against Warwickshire and Leicestershire.
