The Sindh government has announced that Karachi’s Azeempura Flyover will be opened for traffic on June 15, as Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah reviewed key ongoing infrastructure projects during his latest visit to the city.
The chief minister inspected several major developments, including the Red Line BRT corridor, Azeempura Flyover, and Shahrah-e-Bhutto, as part of his weekly monitoring of construction progress across Karachi.
During the inspection, CM Murad Ali Shah directed authorities to ensure timely completion of remaining work and emphasized maintaining construction quality while minimizing disruption for commuters.
Officials briefed the chief minister that the Rs. 1.4 billion flyover is expected to significantly improve traffic flow between Azeempura, Malir Halt, and the Korangi Road corridor. It will also help reduce congestion on Shahrah-e-Faisal and nearby connecting routes.
He expressed satisfaction over the pace of work on the Red Line BRT project and instructed that associated infrastructure, including linked flyovers, should also be completed by the announced deadline.
The chief minister also visited the newly inaugurated Shahrah-e-Bhutto, where he reviewed traffic conditions and security arrangements along the corridor.
