Xiaomi has become the latest Android smartphone brand to add support for Apple’s AirDrop through Quick Share. The company announced the feature on X through the official HyperOS account.
The new support allows Xiaomi users to share files directly with Apple devices using Quick Share. This could make file transfers easier for people who use both Android and Apple products.
Xiaomi did not confirm whether the feature is available for all devices or only selected models. However, users can easily check the feature on their own devices. They simply need to open Quick Share on a Xiaomi phone and try sending a file. If supported, nearby Apple devices should appear in the sharing menu.
AirDrop is now available on Quick Share.

The company also did not reveal if the feature needs a new HyperOS update. Still, there is a strong chance that an update may be required. Other Android brands introduced similar support through software updates in recent months. Because of this, the rollout may take time. Some Xiaomi devices could receive the feature earlier, while older models may have to wait longer.
Quick Share has slowly become an important feature for Android users. With AirDrop compatibility, Xiaomi is now trying to offer a smoother experience for users who switch between Android and Apple ecosystems.
