Fans are desperate for Grand Theft Auto (GTA) VI. Consequently, even the smallest moves by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive spark massive attention. Recently, the developer made a quiet but official change to its Discord server. This move marks the first public action regarding the game since its delay last November.
A New Home on Discord
Eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed a significant structural change on the official Rockstar Games Discord. Previously, the developer housed the “grand-theft-auto-vi” channel under the general “Rockstar Games” category. Now, Rockstar has officially moved it into its own dedicated category titled “Grand Theft Auto VI”.
Interestingly, this minor reorganization caused some initial panic. The newly categorized GTA VI channel remained invisible unless users clicked the “Show All Channels” button. Because players are highly anxious about another potential delay, seeing the channel seemingly disappear made many fans incredibly nervous.

Preparing for the Third GTA VI Trailer?
Currently, no further evidence suggests anything substantial is happening behind the scenes on Discord. However, this server adjustment likely serves a highly practical purpose. Rockstar might be preparing the channel to handle a massive flood of user traffic. This surge will undoubtedly happen when the studio finally releases the third GTA VI trailer or officially opens pre-orders.
Summer traditionally serves as prime time for major game reveals and trailers. Therefore, a strong chance exists that Rockstar will roll out something new soon. Furthermore, the studio has built up so much anticipation that it does not need to follow traditional reveal cycles. Rockstar could drop news anywhere at any time, and it would immediately light the internet on fire.
Recently, some fans spotted alleged GTA VImarketing inside a mall in Bangladesh this past May. However, that advertisement was likely accidental or unauthorized. So far, none of the recent trailer leaks have actually panned out.
Unmatched Industry Hype
The hype surrounding this release remains unprecedented. In fact, GTA VI won the Most Anticipated Game award at both the Golden Joystick and The Game Awards for two consecutive years.
Players have endured multiple delays. Consequently, they have spent countless hours dreaming about the gameplay and scrutinizing the existing trailers for every possible detail. Ultimately, only time will tell if the final product matches the footage and lives up to the hype. However, Rockstar Games rarely disappoints with its flagship titles. Even if the developer shoots down wild fan theories, the final game will likely impress the community.
