Electric vehicle users traveling on the M-2 Motorway now have access to ultrafast charging stations at multiple service areas, marking a major step in expanding Pakistan’s EV infrastructure.
According to the announcement, the new charging network has become operational at Chakri (North), Kallar Kahar (South), Bhera (North and South), and Sial Mor (North) motorway service areas.
Each station is equipped with a 360 KVA fast charger capable of charging up to four electric vehicles at the same time. Officials said most EVs can now be charged within 15 to 20 minutes, significantly reducing travel downtime for long-distance drivers.
The initiative aims to improve convenience for electric vehicle owners and support the country’s transition toward cleaner and more sustainable transportation.
Authorities say the rollout is part of broader efforts to strengthen EV infrastructure on major highways and encourage wider adoption of electric mobility across Pakistan.
