Redmi launched the Turbo 5 Max in January, but the company is already working on its successor. Details about the upcoming phone first surfaced earlier this month. Now, a new image gives us an early look at its redesigned appearance.
The biggest change is on the back of the phone. Redmi appears to have moved away from the left-aligned vertical camera island used on the previous model. Instead, the Turbo 6 Max could feature a Pixel-like camera bar that stretches across the top of the device. This gives the phone a noticeably different look compared with its predecessor.
The phone is also rumored to feature a 7-inch flat display with a “2K” resolution. Alongside the large screen, it could pack a massive 10,000 mAh battery. That would make the battery 1,000 mAh larger than the one found inside the Turbo 5 Max. As a result, the Turbo 6 Max could offer longer battery life, especially for users who spend hours gaming or watching videos. The phone is expected to use the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. This is the same chip rumored for the Turbo 5 Max.
However, Redmi could switch to the upcoming Dimensity 9600s instead. Recent reports suggest that the new chip could be an improved version of the Dimensity 9500. The Dimensity 9500 remains MediaTek’s current flagship SoC. Therefore, the Turbo 6 Max could deliver strong performance if it uses either of these newer chipsets.
The Redmi Turbo 6 Max is still likely several months away from its launch. More details should emerge as development continues. We will likely learn more about its specifications and features in the coming weeks and months.
