Fasset achieved unicorn status after raising $68 million in Series C funding. Japan’s SBI Group led the investment round on August 24, 2026. The achievement brings Fasset’s total 2026 fundraising to $119 million following a $51 million Series B completed in May.
The fintech startup reached a $1 billion valuation as it expands its stablecoin-based financial infrastructure globally. Fasset processes more than $40 billion in annualized transaction volume across 125 countries. The platform serves over 3 million wallets and 1,000 enterprises through its Own Network connecting financial institutions.
Own Network links local banking systems, payment providers, financial institutions, telecom companies and settlement networks across 100 banking corridors. Stablecoins enable settlement throughout portions of the network. Customers access services through financial products without managing underlying infrastructure complexity.
The fintech employs artificial intelligence to optimize transaction routing decisions. AI systems analyze cost, speed and availability factors across payment networks, currencies and liquidity providers. This technology improves cross-border payment efficiency substantially.
SBI Group leadership views Fasset as a strategic financial bridge. Yoshitaka Kitao, Representative Director, Chairman, President and CEO of SBI Holdings, emphasized Fasset’s strong business foundation across emerging markets. The partnership extends stablecoin-based international remittance and settlement infrastructure from Asia Pacific through the Middle East to Africa.
Fasset’s partnership with SBI Remit provides access to networks supporting bank account remittances to approximately 200 countries. This expansion accelerates global financial connectivity significantly.
Mohammad Raafi Hossain, Fasset Co-Founder and CEO, stated the investment accelerates global expansion through SBI’s broader financial ecosystem and partnerships. The capital infusion enables deeper investment in agentic AI systems for cross-border banking corridors and tokenized asset infrastructure development.
Fasset joins UAE startups including Kitopi, Tabby and Careem achieving billion dollar valuations. The fintech represents Middle Eastern innovation in digital finance and stablecoin infrastructure. Its unicorn status underscores regional commitment to reshaping international financial architecture.
The company’s technology architecture positions it at the intersection of traditional banking and blockchain-based settlement, positioning itself as a company that addresses critical pain points in emerging market finance.
