Samsung has started rolling out the sixth beta of One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26 series. The update arrives about two weeks after the fifth beta. The new beta weighs 851MB and includes the August 5, 2026 security patches. It is now available in Germany, India, Poland, the UK, and Korea. The update is also expected to reach the US soon.
Galaxy S26 users in the beta program will see build ZZHE after installing the update. Samsung has included several fixes with this release. These fixes address display problems with the Now Brief widget and the home screen.
The update also fixes a photo-saving issue in Expert RAW 24MP at certain focal lengths. Samsung has also resolved an issue affecting the camera widget. One UI 9 beta 6 adds a new option for AI Select under Settings > Display > Edge panels. The new “Touch and hold for AI select” toggle controls what happens when users long-press the Edge panel peek window.
When enabled, a long press on the Edge panel peek window will launch AI Select. Users can turn the option off to prevent accidental AI Select triggers. AI Select can still be added as a shortcut inside the Edge panel.
AI Select is Samsung’s updated version of its Smart Select tool. It allows users to select parts of the screen and extract editable text. It can also create animated GIFs from videos and send images to Generative Edit or Drawing Assist.
The feature works in a way that is similar to Google’s Circle to Search. With the sixth beta, Samsung is giving users more control over how they access the tool.
The latest beta continues Samsung’s testing of One UI 9 ahead of its wider release. More beta builds could arrive before the company rolls out the stable version to Galaxy S26 users.
