Honor has officially launched the long-rumored X80 Pro Max in China after multiple leaks. The device stands out mainly because of its massive 11,000 mAh battery. It is the largest battery seen in a mainstream smartphone so far.
The battery supports 90W fast charging. It also offers 27W reverse wired charging for powering other devices. As a result, the phone focuses strongly on endurance and fast energy top-ups.
The phone features a 6.8-inch LTPS AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280×2788. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling. In addition, it claims a peak brightness of 10,000 nits, but this level appears only in a small area during video playback.
On the camera side, the device carries a 50MP main sensor with OIS. A basic 8MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. Performance is handled by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. It is paired with 8GB or 12GB RAM options. Storage choices include 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.
The phone runs Android 16 with MagicOS 10 on top. An under-display optical fingerprint sensor is included for security. Moreover, the device carries IP68 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
Honor offers the X80 Pro Max in black, orange, red, and Moon Shadow colors. The base 8/128GB model is priced at CNY 1,999, equal to $295. However, it is currently available at a discounted price of CNY 1,699, or $250.
