The Motorola Edge 70 Pro has officially arrived in India, expanding Motorola’s Edge 70 series with a feature-packed mid-range option. The new model builds on the lineup that already includes the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, launched earlier in March, and the Motorola Edge 70, which debuted last year. With upgraded hardware and a strong focus on performance, Motorola aims to attract users who want premium features without a flagship price.
The device sports a large 6.8-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution. It supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, ensuring smooth scrolling and gaming. In addition, the panel reaches a peak brightness of 5,200 nits, which improves visibility under bright sunlight.
Motorola has equipped the phone with the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset. It is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. As a result, the phone delivers fast performance for daily tasks and heavy apps.
On the camera front, the Edge 70 Pro features a dual rear setup. It includes a 50MP Sony Lytia 710 primary sensor with OIS and a 50MP ultrawide lens. Moreover, a multispectral sensor and LED flash are also included. On the front, users get a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus, which should help capture sharp photos and videos.
The phone packs a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. It supports 90W wired charging, allowing quick top-ups. It also offers 5W wired reverse charging, which can power small accessories when needed.
Motorola has added several durability and audio features. The handset carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. It also meets MIL-STD 810H certification standards. Furthermore, it includes an under-display fingerprint scanner and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
For connectivity, the device covers all modern standards. It supports dual 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Wi-Fi 6E, and GPS. The phone runs on Android 16 out of the box. Motorola promises three years of Android updates along with regular security patches.
In terms of design, the Edge 70 Pro comes in Pantone Lily White, Pantone Titan, and Pantone Tea finishes. It measures 7.29mm in thickness and weighs around 190g. The device features a plastic frame and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection on the front.
Pricing starts at INR 38,999 ($415) for the 8GB/256GB variant. Meanwhile, the 12GB/256GB model costs INR 41,999 ($445). Sales will begin on April 29 through Flipkart, Motorola’s official online store, and offline retail outlets.
