The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has busted a fake call centre operating in Lahore as part of an ongoing crackdown against financial fraud and cybercrime activities.
According to officials, the raid was conducted by NCCIA Punjab authorities following reports of fraudulent activities linked to online financial scams and deceptive call operations targeting citizens.
The agency said the illegal call centre was allegedly involved in defrauding individuals through fake communications and financial schemes. Several pieces of electronic equipment and digital records were reportedly seized during the operation.
Authorities stated that investigations are underway to identify the network involved and determine the extent of the fraud operation. Further arrests are also expected as the inquiry progresses.
The crackdown is part of broader efforts by Pakistani authorities to curb cyber-enabled financial crimes and protect citizens from online scams and fraudulent call centre operations.
