OnePlus is ready to unveil the OnePlus 6 at the start of next month and the company is teasing its new “Flagship killer” in many leaks and tweets. As the launch date of OnePlus 6 is nearing, the rumor mill has also quicken up. There is an official announcement from OnePlus that OnePlus 6 will be waterproof.

The Chinese brand OnePlus is known for making top-notch smartphones, but all the previous devices by the company lacked a major feature which was found in all the competitors, that feature was waterproofing. All phones smartphones till the OnePlus 5T do not have the IP67/68 rating, but now the upcoming OnePlus 6 will finally be safe from the natural elements such as water, dust and especially rainwater.

The company has also released official pictures taken from the OnePlus 6, here the pictures below.

OnePlus 6 is said to feature a 6.28” AMOLED display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 which is the same panel found in Oppo R15. The smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 845, with its CPU clocked at 2.7 GHz, which we heard outperforms all existing flagships in terms of speed all thanks to its insanely fast CPU.

The back camera is said to be a dual camera set up with 16 MP + 20 MP with a f/1.7 aperture on both lenses, which is the same as in OnePlus 5T. The front camera is boosted with a 20 MP sensor behind a f/2.0 lens. The storage reveals that the cell phone has a ram of 6 GB and with internal storage of 128 GB. We haven’t such a combo since the OnePlus 3T.

The current rumors suggest the OnePlus 6 will be announced as soon as May 5.
