Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has issued a formal notice confirming that the main runway at the Skardu Airport will be closed for eight hours each day until 28 June 2026.
Runway 14L/32R at Skardu Airport will remain unavailable every day from 8am to 4pm as the Pakistan Airports Authority carries out planned maintenance work.
The authority issued a Notice to Airmen confirming the daily closure, which will continue without interruption until the scheduled end date of 28 June.
PAA officials stated that the maintenance work includes seal coating of the runway surface, repair of existing cracks, and repainting of all runway markings.
The authority confirmed that the runway can be made available during its closure window in the event of a declared emergency at the airport.
Air traffic control must be informed at least one hour in advance before the runway can be activated during any emergency situation at Skardu.
