Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Amir Khattak has directed authorities to complete the Rawalpindi Ring Road project by May 30, emphasizing strict adherence to construction standards and timelines.
During a visit to the project site, the commissioner reviewed ongoing development work and received a detailed briefing from officials of the Frontier Works Organization and district administration on the progress achieved so far.
He highlighted that the Rawalpindi Ring Road and its associated economic zones are expected to play a key role in boosting regional economic development while significantly reducing traffic congestion in the city.
Khattak instructed project authorities to maintain high-quality standards and ensure timely completion without delays. He stressed that the infrastructure project would enhance connectivity and improve travel facilities for residents once operational.
Officials noted that the ring road is a major initiative aimed at easing traffic pressure on congested urban routes and supporting long-term urban planning in Rawalpindi.
Upon completion, the project is expected to streamline transportation flow and contribute to economic activity in surrounding areas through the development of linked economic zones.
