Samsung Display is reportedly set to begin mass production of AMOLED panels for the Galaxy S27 series this month. The move follows reports that Samsung has started mass-producing the Exynos 2700 chipset for the upcoming phones.
According to a separate report from Korea, Samsung Display will supply panels for four Galaxy S27 models. The lineup is expected to include the 6.27-inch Galaxy S27 and 6.66-inch Galaxy S27+. The range will also include the 6.47-inch Galaxy S27 Pro and 6.89-inch Galaxy S27 Ultra. The addition of the Pro model could lift total panel shipments by around 10%.
Samsung Display reportedly expects to ship between 47 million and 48 million panels for the Galaxy S27 family. For comparison, the Galaxy S26 series had a shipment target in the “low 40 million range.” Samsung has reportedly asked Samsung Display to supply 2 to 3 million Galaxy S27 Pro panels this year. That figure is expected to rise to 4 to 5 million units next year.
However, the early panel production does not mean the Galaxy S27 phones will launch in 2026. Samsung reportedly wants the displays ready for assembly in early 2027. That timing suggests the Galaxy S27 series could launch in early 2027. Samsung is expected to introduce all four models as part of the same lineup.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra are again linked to Samsung’s Privacy Display feature. The feature debuted with the Galaxy S26 Ultra and limits what people nearby can see on the screen. The latest report adds to the growing list of Galaxy S27 leaks. However, Samsung has yet to officially confirm the lineup, specifications, and launch plans.
