Sonos, an American Audio Company, has released three new smart speakers and a new iteration to their mobile application.

The speakers range includes an Arc soundbar which has support for Dolby Atmos, the next Sonos Play:5 speaker, now known as the Sonos Five, and an all-new Sonos Sub, their sub-woofer, “for deep bass.” The new S2 application, released alongside the speakers will be required to operate these smart devices and will be released on the 8th of June, available for download on Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

The new Sonos Arc comes with Dolby Atmos support that outputs, “rich, realistic 3D sound,” according to the Sonos website. It features eleven high performance drivers, “for crisp highs, dynamic mid-ranges, and surprising bass.” The Sonos Arc is a slim bar and can blend easily into almost any environment it is placed in. The Arc also offers the standard voice control options, with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa built right into the device.

The Sonos Five, which now comes in full black as well as full white, has the same acoustic design and placement as the Play:5. The new additions include an increase in memory, a built-in radio, and a lower retail price than before.

The last speakers released, the third generation Sonos Sub comes with an increase in the internal memory, and an increase in its processing power. It also features a wireless radio for connecting to other devices.

All of these new devices that Sonos has launched will only be compatible and operable through the new S2 app. This app comes with increased security for the devices, as well as better sound quality and support options for streaming.

The Sonos Arc retails for $799, while the Sub and the Five retail for $699 and $499, respectively. All of these can be pre-ordered on the Sonos website and the company plans on shipping them out as early as the 10th of June 2020.
