Steps to Delete a Facebook Account

You will lose all access to your account once you delete it. If you log back onto Facebook within a few days of requesting deletion, Facebook will withdraw your request.

• Open the Accounts Center and navigate to account ownership and control settings.
• Select deactivation or deletion from the menu.
• Choose the account you wish to remove.
• Click delete account, then press continue to proceed.
• If you decide to return, you may be able to sign up again with the same username—if it hasn’t been taken.

How to Delete Your Thread Account?

Deleting your Instagram account will automatically remove your threads profile as well. To delete only your Threads profile, visit Threads.net on a computer and follow these steps:

• Click the menu icon (two parallel lines) in the bottom-left corner, then select settings.
• Go to the account and choose to deactivate or delete the profile.
• Select delete profile and proceed with the prompts that appear.
• Click delete Threads profile to confirm your request.
• Your profile will be permanently deleted after 30 days.

If you wish to rejoin with the same Instagram account, you’ll need to wait 90 days.
