Pakistan’s maritime trade has just achieved a significant milestone. The container vessel MV SELEN successfully berthed at Karachi Port. National Logistics Corporation (NLC) (AP Line) operates this ship. It arrived directly from Jabel Ali, UAE.
Crucially, MV SELEN is the first Pakistan-bound container vessel to reach the country following recent shipping disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz. Therefore, this arrival officially signals the resumption of regular containerized trade. Furthermore, it helps reinforce overall confidence in regional maritime supply chains.
According to a Karachi Port Trust (KPT) spokesman, this successful arrival reflects highly effective teamwork. Port authorities, shipping companies, and logistics stakeholders worked together seamlessly. Consequently, they successfully sustained essential cargo operations during a critical period.
