Grand Theft Auto (GTA) VI is experiencing yet another leak. Yesterday, songwriter Bobby Keel took to Facebook to share massive news. He revealed that Rockstar Games will feature David Allan Coe’s 1987 track, “Need A Little Time Off For Bad Behavior”, in the highly anticipated title. Furthermore, Keel, who co-wrote the song with Larry Latimer, called the inclusion “BIG TIME HUGE”.
Currently, players do not know how Rockstar will use the country classic. The song might play on the standard in-game radio. Alternatively, it could serve a crucial role during a specific mission. Context remains key. However, the track fits perfectly with the rural Leonida setting. It offers a sharp contrast to the neon-lit nightlife of Vice City.
Naturally, fans question if Keel had explicit permission to share this information. Rockstar maintains strict secrecy around the highly anticipated game. Therefore, an authorized reveal seems highly unlikely. Interestingly, Keel is not the first artist to let details slip. In February 2026, two other artists similarly leaked their musical involvement in the project. A now-deleted Instagram comment by artist Panama claimed that their song “Back to Life” with band Poolside will be featured on the Grand Theft Auto 6 radio. The artist stated:
I’ve got a song called ‘Back to Life’ I wrote with @poolside it’ll be on GTA 6.
The countdown continues toward the November 19, 2026 release date. Earlier this year, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick officially reaffirmed this launch schedule. Consequently, fans expect Rockstar to ramp up its marketing efforts for GTA VI this summer. Almost a full year has passed since the developer released the last trailer. Now, players eagerly await the announcement of a third trailer.
