Vivo has started teasing its upcoming S60 series in China, following the launch of the S50 series in December. The company’s product manager, Han Boxiao, recently shared early images of the standard S60 model, giving the first clear look at its design.
The teaser images reveal both the side and rear of the device. It appears to feature a premium aluminum frame along with a triple camera setup. In addition, the back panel shows a gradient finish with sparkling design elements, giving it a more stylish look.
Several leaks have also revealed early hardware details. The Vivo S60 is expected to come with a 6.59-inch flat AMOLED display. It may offer FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals. The device is also rumored to keep the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor from its predecessor.
On the camera side, the biggest upgrade could be the main sensor. Reports suggest a 200MP primary camera may replace the 50MP shooter found on the S50. Moreover, the phone could also feature a 50MP telephoto lens, which would improve zoom photography.
Battery improvements are also expected, with a larger capacity being discussed in leaks. In addition, the device may include IP69-rated protection, which would make it more resistant to dust and water. However, the teaser did not reveal any details about the S60 Pro Mini variant. For now, vivo has only shown the standard model.
According to industry rumors, the Vivo S60 may launch globally under a different name. It is expected to be introduced as the vivo V80 in international markets.
