Samsung could launch its next foldable phones on July 22, according to a recent leak. Ahead of the expected event, fresh details about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Wide have appeared online.
A new report suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The foldable may weigh around 210g and measure only 4.1mm when unfolded.
Samsung also appears set to keep the same 200MP main rear camera from the Galaxy Z Fold7. However, the company may upgrade the ultrawide camera to a 50MP sensor. Meanwhile, the selfie cameras are expected to stay unchanged with 10MP sensors. Earlier leaks also hinted at the same setup.
In addition, the Galaxy Z Fold8 could feature a 5,000mAh battery. This matches a previous leak shared in March. The device may also support faster 45W wired charging.
At the same time, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Wide is also making headlines. Reports claim the device could arrive with a 7.6-inch inner display and a 4:3 aspect ratio.
The foldable may include a dual rear camera system with a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP ultrawide lens. Moreover, the phone is rumored to pack a 4,800mAh battery with 45W wired charging support. The device could weigh close to 200g. These specifications also match several recent leaks.
