Vivo is preparing a new Y500 lineup for global markets, expanding beyond China. The company originally launched the Y500 in China last September. Now, Vivo is teasing a different Y500 family that will include three models for international users. One of these devices is the Y500, which has recently been teased for Nepal.
Interestingly, this global Y500 looks completely different from the Chinese version. It features a fresh design approach and updated hardware focus. The phone is expected to arrive with an AMOLED display offering 1.5K resolution. It also packs a large 8,100 mAh battery for extended usage.
In addition, Vivo highlights a “trendy camera design” on the device. The company also mentions an “ultra fast & powerful” chipset, although it has not officially named it yet. However, a Google Play Console listing has already revealed key specifications. The Unisoc T7300 chipset powers the device.
It is also paired with 8GB of RAM for smoother multitasking. Meanwhile, the software side includes Android 16 with OriginOS 6 on top.
Overall, the vivo Y500 is shaping up as a battery-focused mid-range smartphone. More details are expected to surface as the launch approaches.
