Apple has added the MacBook Neo to its refurbished store just one day after increasing the prices of nearly all its products in the US. While iPhone prices remained unchanged, the MacBook Neo received a $100 price hike.
Now, customers can buy the refurbished entry-level MacBook Neo for $599. This model comes with 256GB of storage and does not include Touch ID. Before the recent price increase, Apple sold the same configuration as a brand-new device for the same price.
Meanwhile, the refurbished version with 512GB of storage and Touch ID is available for $679. This is $20 lower than its previous new retail price before the latest increase. However, buyers now have to pay $799 for a brand-new model with the same specifications.
As a result, customers can save some money by choosing Apple’s refurbished option instead of buying a new laptop. Apple also provides the same one-year warranty for refurbished products as it does for new devices. According to the company, every refurbished MacBook Neo goes through full functionality testing. The company replaces any faulty parts before resale.
In addition, Apple performs a complete cleaning and inspection of every device. The company then repackages the laptop before shipping it to customers.
The refurbished MacBook Neo also includes a USB-C cable and a 20W power adapter in the box, matching the accessories provided with a new device.
