Reddit has launched a new brand campaign built around human connection. The campaign is called “People are the Best.” It highlights the platform’s rising value as a source of human-powered insight.
The premise contrasts Reddit with rival apps shaped by AI. Many platforms now fill with AI-generated videos and images. Reddit instead points to real conversations happening in-app every day. The message takes subtle but deliberate aim at artificial intelligence.
“Reddit has always stood apart for the candor, depth, and personality you find in its communities,” said Jim Squires, Reddit’s CMO. “At a moment when people are craving something more real online, there’s no better place to find it than in a Reddit thread. ‘People Are the Best’ is our way of celebrating the hundreds of millions who show up every day to keep the internet human.”
Reddit developed the campaign with award-winning creative agency Mischief. It zeroes in on beauty, TV, and soccer as example communities. These spaces showcase the platform’s irreverent, fun, and authentically human feel. Reddit said they have long resonated with millions of people daily.
The company framed the push as a celebration of its users. It credited the millions who show up daily to build lively communities. Those community-powered conversations have become a key selling point. Reddit has emerged as a trusted resource for genuine product insight.
The timing reflects a clear strategic bet. Other platforms increasingly rely on AI content and paid influencer promotions. Reddit positions human discussion as the more trustworthy alternative. Its community-voted threads share real consumer experience and expertise.
That value proposition is also a business asset. Reddit has become a major source for product discovery and research. Half of US shoppers reportedly use it to verify AI recommendations. The campaign reinforces that human edge as AI search grows.
The rollout starts in two major US markets first. It launches in New York and Chicago to begin. The campaign spans TV, streaming, out-of-home, and social ads. Reddit plans to expand it to more US markets in the coming months.
The move fits Reddit’s broader 2026 momentum, following strong earnings and new ad tools. It doubles down on what sets the platform apart from AI-heavy rivals.
