The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has introduced a new feature in its Public Safety App aimed at improving the security and emergency response system for security guards across the province.
The initiative has been launched on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Under the new system, security guards will be able to register their personal details and duty locations directly in the app.
In case of an emergency, registered security personnel can press a single button to immediately alert Punjab Emergency 15, enabling rapid response support.
Once an alert is triggered, the guard’s live location and registered information are displayed in the Safe City Control Room, allowing authorities to quickly assess the situation. The nearest police team is then dispatched to provide timely assistance.
According to the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA), the initiative leverages modern technology to enhance emergency response times, improve coordination, and strengthen overall public safety across the province.
