Samsung has launched the W27, its latest premium foldable smartphone, in China. The new model is based on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra but features a more luxurious design. It comes with gold accents, a dual-tone finish, and a special collector’s edition package.
The Samsung W27 features a red and blue exterior, with both colors holding cultural significance in China. Gold detailing is also visible across the frame, hinge, rear camera module, and camera lens rings. Meanwhile, the rear panel carries Samsung’s signature gold ‘Heart to the World’ logo.

Both the front and rear panels are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3. Samsung is also offering the phone in a special collector’s edition box. The package includes a 45W charger, a Kevlar protective case, and the usual accessories.
In terms of hardware, the W27 retains the specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. However, Samsung has added satellite connectivity as an extra feature. The phone features a 6.5-inch cover display and an 8.0-inch inner screen.

The device runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset. It also packs a 5,000mAh battery and a triple rear camera system. The setup is led by a 200MP primary sensor. On the software side, the W27 runs Android 17 with One UI 9.
Samsung is offering the W27 in two configurations, both featuring 16GB of RAM. The 512GB model costs CNY 18,999 ($2,850), while the 1TB variant is priced at CNY 21,999 ($3,300). The Samsung W27 is now available through the company’s official online store in China. There is no word yet on availability in other markets.
