Android and iPhone users are getting closer to sharing files without friction. Google is steadily expanding Quick Share support with Apple’s AirDrop system across more Android devices.
During The Android Show: I/O Edition, Google confirmed a wider rollout. Soon, OnePlus, Oppo, and Honor phones will also support this cross-platform sharing feature.
Google first introduced Quick Share and AirDrop interoperability with the Pixel 10 series last year. After that, the feature expanded to older Pixel devices. It later reached Samsung’s Galaxy S26 lineup. More recently, it also arrived on the Oppo Find X9 Ultra and vivo X300 Ultra.
At present, the feature is already available on Pixel 8a. It is also available on the Oppo Find N6. This shows a steady push toward broader compatibility. Meanwhile, Google has confirmed that more Samsung devices will get support soon. The list includes the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 lineup, Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z TriFold.
Beyond Samsung, the rollout is also planned for more Android brands. These include the Oppo Find X8 series, OnePlus 15, Honor Magic V6, and Honor Magic8 Pro. However, Google has not shared any timeline yet. The company only confirmed that expansion is in progress.
