Google has expanded Chrome’s autofill features on both Android and iOS, making it easier for users to complete everyday online tasks. The update helps users save time when checking in for flights, paying for parking, and filling out other forms on the web.
With the latest changes, Chrome can now pull information directly from Google Wallet and automatically fill it into supported forms. This includes details stored in a user’s driver’s license, passport, and Known Traveler Number. As a result, users can complete forms faster without manually entering the same information repeatedly.
Google also says users can add these details to Google Wallet directly from Chrome. If information is not already saved, Chrome will offer the option to store it when users enter it for the first time. This should make future form-filling even more convenient.
In addition, the company is bringing deeper Google Wallet integration to Chrome across both mobile devices and desktop platforms. The move expands Chrome’s existing autofill capabilities and gives users a more unified experience across devices.
Google stressed that users remain in control of their personal information. According to the company, Chrome will only save or fill data after receiving user permission. Furthermore, sensitive information is protected through encryption to help keep personal details secure.
Users can review, manage, or update their saved information at any time through the “Autofill and passwords” section in Chrome’s settings. Google says these controls ensure users can easily access and modify their stored data whenever needed.
