The newly appointed NADRA chief, Tariq Malik who has been reinstated by PM Imran Khan after some 7 years of his termination by the previous government, has resolved to take NADRA to new heights on a global scale while forgetting about the painful past. He also said that, fulfilling this mission requires transcending narrow party or individual interests and working for a common cause!

Tariq Malik also thanked the Prime Minister Imran Khan for placing trust in him and termed the opportunity as an honour.

Malik is currently serving at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) prior to which he had worked for the World bank. He is also among the 10 core members of World Bank’s Technical Experts Group (TEG) supporting client countries with ID planning and implementation initiatives.
Tariq Malik was earlier terminated as the head of NADRA in 2013 after differences with the then PML (N) government arising out of the verification of votes, and left the country soon afterwards.
