A new Xiaomi smartphone has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The device carries the model number 2607DRA18C and is believed to be the upcoming Redmi Note 17. The listing does not confirm the phone’s official name. However, earlier reports linked this model number to the Redmi Note 17.
Another version of the same device recently received certification in India. The Indian model carries the number 2607DRA18I and was spotted on the BIS certification website. The letter “I” indicates the Indian version, while the “C” in the Geekbench listing points to the Chinese variant.
According to the benchmark results, the phone scored 1,027 points in the single-core test. It also achieved 3,002 points in the multi-core test.
The Geekbench listing further reveals that the device uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. The tested prototype includes 12GB of RAM. The upcoming Redmi phone will also run Android 16 out of the box. Xiaomi is expected to ship the device with its HyperOS software on top of Android.
Interestingly, the global and Chinese variants share almost identical model numbers. Because of this, it remains unclear whether Xiaomi plans to introduce any hardware differences between the two versions.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Redmi Note 17 series will launch in China on July 14. More details about the smartphone lineup are expected to emerge before the official announcement.
