Samsung’s next foldable phones are just days away from launch, and a new leak has now revealed their expected prices in the United States.
According to a new report citing industry sources, the standard Galaxy Z Fold8 with 256GB of storage will reportedly cost $1,899 in the US. The pricing matches earlier expectations that Samsung would keep the regular model’s price unchanged.
The report also sheds light on the more expensive Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. Samsung is reportedly planning to charge $2,099 for the base model with 256GB of storage. That would make the device $100 more expensive than the Galaxy Z Fold7, the phone it is expected to replace.
The report adds that Samsung is still carrying out a final review of its pricing strategy before the official announcement next week. This means the final retail prices could still change, although major adjustments now seem unlikely.
Besides pricing details, several key specifications of both foldables have already surfaced through previous leaks. Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor.
The standard Galaxy Z Fold8 is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch folding inner screen. It is also expected to include a dual rear camera setup and a 4,800mAh battery.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra could bring several upgrades. The device is expected to pack a larger 5,000mAh battery and a triple-rear-camera system led by a 200MP main sensor. Reports also suggest that its design will remain similar to the current Galaxy Z Fold7.
Samsung has already confirmed that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 22 in London. The company is widely expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Flip8 during the event.
With the launch now close, the latest leak gives consumers a clearer picture of what Samsung’s next-generation of foldable smartphones could cost in the US market.
